The Corrections Committee of District 51

Help incarcerated alcoholics in Fayetteville and surrounding areas of Cumberland, Robeson & Bladen Counties receive Alcoholics Anonymous literature to aid in their sobriety journey. If you would like to carry the message into Lumberton Correctional Facility and are not yet a certified (trained) volunteer, there are two upcoming opportunities to be held at 75 Legend Road, Lumberton NC (the Lumberton Adult Correctional Facility).

March 5, 2024 at 6:30 pm and May 7, 2024 at 6:30 pm

To participate in training, you must bring identification and any previously issued cards with you. Mask is optional. No cell phones are allowed. Please dress appropriately as to be mindful of the surroundings. You will be required to walk through metal detectors and/or be subject to a pat down. Please contact sharon.burnette@dac.nc.gov or call 90-785-8211 if you plan to attend either session so they can start the background check process. THANK YOU for your willingness to serve.

Download the service opportunities document to discover different ways you can carry the message to treatment facilities and corrections.

This committee meets the fourth Sunday of even months at 5pm via Zoom.
